As you might have heard me say, I am working on a comprehensive review of the Ursa Mini 4.6K. I used the camera on a challenging feature film shoot and so I will be able to share with you a lot of interesting stuff (in fact, I’ve shot with this camera for two months now, on two film productions). DJI Mavic Pro launch
Last Tuesday I attended a fun event in New York City – a DJI product launch. As is usual at these things, there was a lot of press. The treat for me were the many cool talented filmmakers who also attended. Continue reading DJI Mavic Pro launch
Photokina 2016
There is a big trade show taking place right now (September 20 to 25) in Cologne, Germany. Called Photokina, it focuses on photo and video technology and equipment (so it is similar to the NAB in Las Vegas). I had big hopes of attending it this year, but ended up going to India for a film shoot instead. Continue reading Photokina 2016

Building 4K RAW video editing machine for $2K
At the beginning of this year, I wrote about a laptop I purchased and then modified for editing 4K video. Since I am on the road a lot, having a portable machine is a must. However, the time had also come to get a new desktop editing machine. The camera drone technology has surely advanced a lot since my CineDrone and then “CineDrone 2.0” (a kit sold by BH PHoto Video that included DJI Phantom 2, gimbal and GoPro camera). Last year, I reviewed the DJI Phantom 3 and was already very impressed – one can for sure produce outstanding aerial videography with it. Continue reading DJI Phantom 4 camera drone review

“Wannabe” new music video by Anna Cyzon!

Together with a fellow filmmaker and friend, Danny Ruan, we used this great little camera on the short film “Lights”, as well as on two music videos. One of them is premiering today!
