Short Film Spotlight: “I Love Sarah Jane”

Recently, I saw on Indieflix a very good short film, “I Love Sarah Jane”. I know I am late to the party – the film premiered in 2008 (at the Sundance Film Festival) and made waves that year and the following. However, with so much film and video content coming at us, it is easy to miss out on something great. “I Love Sarah Jane” is certainly a film worth going back to. Plus, with the passage of time, we can see how careers of the filmmakers involved in this project have progressed – especially since a number of them are making waves in the film industry right now. Retrospective: “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”

Recently I got to watch again the film classic, “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”. This was the second time I saw it – the first time was during its original theatrical release in Poland. That was probably in late 1983 – in the U.S. it was released in 1982 (back then, there was a long delay before American movies made it to – then communist – Poland). The dilemmas of building a home movie library

It’s safe to say that filmmakers are also cinephiles and, as such, they have, at least, a small collection of favourite movies. Since movies are our passion, though, for many of us buying movies is a hobby. Obviously, hobbies are all about fun, but this one has become a bit more complicated – even frustrating at times – because it’s no longer all about choosing the right films.
