CAME-TV Optimus – the successor to my favorite gimbal for DSLR / DSLM cameras

I’ve been a fan of CAME-TV camera gimbals for a while. The CAME-Single has been my gimbal of choice when working with small and mid-sized DSLM / DSLR-type cameras. So, I was excited to try out the CAME-Optimus, the successor of the CAME-Single.

Here is my video review

Here are the specs for the CAME-TV Optimus 3-Axis Gimbal

  • Payload 2.6 lb / 1.1 kg (i.e. the same as the CAME-Single)
  • Weight with battery: 2.2 lb / 1 kg (single handle) or 2.8 lb / 1.3 kg (dual handle) – a bit lighter than the CAME-Single
  • Battery: 800 mAh, up to 10 hours battery life

The biggest difference between the Optimus and Single is the fact that the Optimus uses a removable battery that is mounted on the gimbal frame, allowing you to remove the handle (the Single has the battery built into the handle).

You can buy the CAME-TV Optimus on BH Photo Video, Adorama, eBay, Amazon, Amazon Canada, Amazon UK, Amazon Germany, CAME-TV website
