The long-awaited Atomos Shogun 4K recorder and monitor is finally here. You can now purchase one at B&H Photo Video.

I’m going to do an extensive video review early 2015. For now I can only go by what the company promises, which sounds amazing. When combined with a camera like the Panasonic GH4 or Sony A7s, you’ll be able to record 4K in RAW or the high-quality 10-bit Apple ProRes 422 (up to 30fps), or shoot slow motion (120/60/50 fps) in full 1080P HD. The device also serves as a monitor – it has a beautiful 7.1” 320ppi 1920×1080 touch screen.
