Is it the latest new camera? Of course not, it’s 5 years old but who cares when the camera just works and does everything you need it to today’s cinema standards. If there is one limitation then perhaps the slow-motion frame rates are not as high as some of the newer cameras. This camera tops out at 120 frames per second. Still in most cases that is enough slow motion capability in a typical film, be it narrative or documentary. Latest isn’t always the greatest. In this case this is a camera that has been time tested on many big budget films.
