Affordable, Fast yet Heavy Duty Tripod

SmallRig has recently released FreeBlazer tripod that offers amazing value and features.

SmallRig is a company that produced a lot of great little camera accessories over the years. Things that I often use myself such as camera cages, tops handles and magic arms. In the last 2 years I see they have been designing and producing bigger and more complicated to make camera products such as the manual and wireless follow focus I recently reviewed. Now they have released what I can only assume to be the first in a line of tripods. The new tripod is named the FreeBlazer. It has carbon fiber legs which give it strength but at a much lower weight. The feature that really stood out to me was the single latch adjustment to the height of the tripod. It makes setting up this tripod very fast and easy by one person. This is the same feature that made that expensive (over $3000) Sachtler Flowtech 75 tripod so popular. Of course SmallRig delivered the same great features at a much, MUCH lower price of just $399.
