My Full Lens Kit For Sony a6500, including Sigma E-Mount lenses

The Sony a6500 is definitely a very capable camera. You can get a lot out of it even with just the kit zoom lens (16-50mm). However, there are some budget lenses out there that will help you a lot in your film and videomaking.

In this video I talk about what lenses I have for my a6500, and what I like (and dislike) about them.

Here are all the lenses and where you can buy them:

Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens on B&H, Adorama (used), eBay, Amazon

Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 OSS lens on B&H, Adorama (used), eBay, Amazon, Newegg

Sony E 50mm F1.8 lens on B&H, Adorama, Henry’s, eBay, Amazon, Newegg

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC lens on B&H, Henry’s, eBay, Amazon

Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC lens on B&H, Adorama, Henry’s, eBay, Amazon

Here is the backpack I use: B&H

And here are the current deals on the Sony a6500: BH Photo Video, Adorama, Henry’s, eBay, Amazon

  1. Hello,

The only problem with this camera is the temperature … Full checking because I work at weddings and I need to know that the camera did not stop in the middle of the ceremony.

Recording in 4k with fictitious battery in 43 minutes, I have a high temperature signal.

And after that I put the camera in HD at 50p to record and I stopped recording at 1 hour and 45 minutes, I do not have the signal.

Ambient temperature 20 degrees. I do not know how it will affect to be recording a full sun but I am afraid that exponentially. It can be that at 30 degrees or 35 degrees in summer, it does not last 20 minutes.

  2. I have the a6500 with the 16mm 1.4 lens too! Great lens, wide aperture, doesnt make autofocus sound, sharp image and price is pretty damn good too!
