My latest reel

I finally got around to updating my demo-reel.

The last time I edited a reel of my work as a director and cinematographer was back in 2013. In general I find that doing good work is the best way to show off your skills. Although sometimes having a reel that can quickly show the span of your work can be helpful when meeting new filmmakers that you want to collaborate with. Of course to achieve that you will have to be careful about what you choose to show in your reel and what you take out. Also the best reels are the short reels. In fact I would say that you don’t want your reel to be longer then 2 minutes. Ideally around 1 minute. So why is my reel 4 minutes?!?!? Haha, it’s because I have way too much work to go through for a nice and tight edit. Since I am in the middle of 3 projects, I only had time to do this rough edit. I already had to get rid of over 5 minutes of clips from my older work. Soon I plan to shorten my reel even more to around 1 minute. Soon means as soon as I get some free time which is hard to find these days. For now if you want to see what I’ve been up to since 2013 you will have to watch all 4 minutes of my reel. Hope you enjoy it!

  1. Very nice.
From a producer’s point of view I would try to trim it down shorter.
I’m seeing some redundant styles of shots. Editing one own’s work is hard because you know all the effort it took to get each shot and you fall in love with them.
If you could trim it down to a minute it would be tough but I think the impression would be greater.
You can also have longer reels to showcase your different music video styles if needed.
    Just my 2 cents.
    Overall work is outstanding
