There is a big trade show taking place right now (September 20 to 25) in Cologne, Germany. Called Photokina, it focuses on photo and video technology and equipment (so it is similar to the NAB in Las Vegas). I had big hopes of attending it this year, but ended up going to India for a film shoot instead.

There have been a number of exciting announcement and product releases at the Photokina. Panasonic’s announcement of the GH5 especially got my attention. Many will also be interested in the new mirrorless camera from Canon, the EOS M5.
