Lighting Trick: simulating a theater or tv screen

In this tutorial I show a neat little lighting trick that can be used in any film or music video that simulates a movie theater setting.

I know it’s been a while since my last tutorial, but between all the work and now setting up my youtube account as a partner, it’s been a little hectic. Now I should be able to add a new filmmaking tutorial every other week… so keep on checking my youtube channel!

  1. Another trick to do something similar in post –

If you have After Effects, you can add a couple of lights of varying colors and use a wiggle expression to vary the intensities for that flicker effect.

It’s not so much a “fix it in post” sort of thing, just more of a way to control your effect if you want to change it up a little bit on the fly to suit the moment.
