I recently got the Apple Macbook Air M2 and iPad for my work. Switching from Windows to Mac OS isn’t easy. Here is my experience.
Lately my work has mostly been done remotely. I either edit videos or supervise VFX for various shows and films. I just finished working on a bunch of fun films like Marvel’s Latest Antman epic, a new Spongebob film and Big George Foreman biopic, etc.
Most of the time I don’t need a powerful laptop that can handle heavy graphics because I login to a remote computer from the VFX company that I work with. However I still wanted to get something that can handle video editing and photo retouching. I decided to get the 13.6 inch Macbook Air M2. Wished I had known that the 15 inch version was about to come out because I would have probably waited to get that.
Still I gotta say this ultra thin laptop surprised me in many ways I didn’t expect. I guess because I don’t normally use Apple’s Mac OS, I never knew just what kind of trick they have up their sleeve. My my latest video I share my full experience.
Here is the laptop I use: 3.6-inch MacBook Air with M2 10 Core chip, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD

Hope you enjoyed hearing my experience with Mac OS as a new user. If you already know the answer to the few frustrations I have with my new Macbook then please share your advice in the comments.
Nice to see you join the Mac community, Tom.
I have used Commodore, Apple and IBM computers for many years but found the Mac’s the easiest to use and they are now my only computers. Thanks for all your past videos.
Thanks Arie! Although I am still not 100% convinced by Apple, I do have to say some of their features do make life easier. When something works on my Mac then it just works! I might give their desktop computers a try next, just to see what they’re all about.
