4th Axis stabilization for camera gimbals!

There is a cool new product that stabilizes the up and down movement when using 3 Axis camera gimbals.

It is called the Jockey from TurboAce and it adds stability on the 4th axis. If you’ve ever used a full size steadicam before than you know that there is more to stabilizing the camera motion then just the 3 axis along which the camera rotates. It is also very important to stabilize the up and down movement of the camera while walking. This is achieved on steadicams thanks to the articulating arm that handles all the weight. The 4th axis Jockey achieves the same for gimbals. It smoothes out the up and down movement while walking while at the same time allowing your body to carry the weight of your whole gimbal setup instead of having to carry it with your arms.

The Jockey works with the gimbals from TurboAce, like the AllSteady-6Pro or the DJI Ronin and Ronin M. Check out the video below to see just how well it works!

I also forgot to mention in the video that the Jockey allows you to mount the camera in the upside down mode like I had it but also in the traditional gimbal position using the under slang adapter.

The Jockey is priced from $1499. Different options and accessories are available. For more info on how to use the Jockey and also to buy it please go to the official website at www.turboace.com

  1. Hey Tom!
    That’s a cool gadget!
I saw you posted a teaser for this review on the Moza FB group page. So does it work with the Moza too?
    Thanks!
