How to Shoot a Car Scene: Camera, Lighting & Sound Tutorial

If you are a filmmaker, chances are that you’ve had to shoot a scene inside a moving car. If so, then you probably know how hard it can be to get smooth shots or interesting angles in such a situation.

Plus, getting a good exposure and clean sound is also a struggle when the vehicle is moving and you are working in a tight space.

Today, I will show you how I deal with all these challenges when doing a car scene. As examples, I will use scenes from my last short film “The Big Wild North”. If you haven’t watched the film, then I suggest you first check it out.

As you can see, there are lots of different ways to mount a camera, and not all of them have to be expensive.
