The Brain Hack short film

The Brain Hack – the ultimate high-concept short

Many filmmakers have the dream of making a short film that will break them into Hollywood and give them the chance to make a big budget movie. This dream just became reality for the up-to-now-unknown director/writer Jospeh White.

Last year, Joseph made the short “The Brain Hack“. This was only his second film ever, having done another short ten years earlier. Despite featuring only two actors, the film grips for the full twenty minutes. Simply put, it is an original, clever and well-made film. You can see it for yourself here.

The film has been screened at several international film festivals, but it really took off in February when it was released online. It generated a lot of views and likes, of course, but it also drew the attention of Hollywood. As reported by Deadline, Joseph was signed by the talent agency William Morris Endeavor and then got a feature-film deal from Studio 8. To say the least, it’s been a very interesting few months for this young filmmaker.

In terms of production, the film took nine days to shoot. Although it only has two actors, it involved fourteen different locations and over four hundred set-ups.
