Zhiyun Crane 3 LAB Gimbal

I’ve been using the Zhiyun Crane 3 LAB camera gimbal for almost 2 months so that I can give an honest opinion about it and also compare it to some of the other stabilizers I’ve been using.

Overall I really like this new gimbal. It can carry the most weight in it’s class which is a max payload of 10 pounds. Also it has a really cool phone app that let’s you connect via Wifi so you can transmit a live video feed to your phone or tablet. Finally the design with the L shaped rear handle is a real cool and original gimbal design that make it’s super easy to go from low angles to high up camera position. Is it perfect? Nope. Nothing in life is. The WiFi app for example is great when it works but like I mentioned in the video it does crash every so often. Also the video feed in the app is delayed. You can see just how much the delay is by watching the test i site in the video review where I wave my hand. It’s there but I find I can still use it to focus and frame my shots when the camera movement or action isn’t fast. If you are doing rapid movement then you will need to look at your camera’s screen or use an expensive wireless video system.

  1. The biggest question that you did not answer is if you would opt for this gimbal over your DJI Ronin-S or Moza Air 2? How do you rank them for YOUR personal use?
