5 easy ways to make your videos sound better

Oftentimes videomakers don’t put as much focus on sound as on the visuals when they work on their projects. It might be that working with sound is not as exciting as working with images. However, sound is important, as we all know. The good thing is that most video editing programs include easy to use tools that will quickly make your sound good (or at least much better).

Here’s a tutorial where I talk about five audio effects that you should definitely be taking advantage of.

Here are the five audio effects discussed in the video:

  1. Multiband Compressor
  2. Parametric Equalizer
  3. Highpass (filter)
  4. Lowpass (filter)
  5. Mastering

I use Adobe Premiere, but most other editing software packages have similar audio effects available.

Now, these five tools will make a difference in the quality of your audio, and they are a great option for projects where you have minimal time for post-production. However, if you want to mix sound for a film, I recommend using Adobe Audition. It has many advanced features.
