CAME-TV Prodigy gimbal review

CAME-TV Prodigy Gimbal Review

There is a new gimbal on the market that can handle heavy cameras such as the URSA Mini – it’s the CAME-TV Prodigy 3-axis gimbal. This new gimbal has a really big cage that fits not only heavy, but also big and akwardly-shaped cameras. This gives it a big advantage over other gimbals, such as the DJI Ronin.

Here is my review of the CAME-TV Prodigy gimbal (I will do a follow-up on this once I have a chance to use it on an actual film project)

I’ve also tested out the DAISHO clamp, which allows you to use any gimbal as an over-the-shoulder rig. This is particularly helpful when working with a heavy rig – such as this gimbal combined with the URSA Mini.

You can get the CAME-TV Prodigy gimbal on B&H, Adorama, eBay, Amazon, Amazon UK, Amazon Canada, Amazon Germany, CAME-TV website

  1. Regarding the Came-TV Argo and Canon C200 cinema camera I could use the smaller 17-55 mm or 10-22 mm lens to get the total weight down. It would just depend if Canon C200 is just physically too big to fit or not? The reviews on B&H indicate severe problems with the Came-TV prodigy which is also way too heavy even without a camera.
